I'm Mischa Hadaway, a licensed, insured birth doula serving Hartford, New Haven, Danbury, Waterbury, and surrounding Connecticut communities. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and DONA International-certified birth doula, I've supported 75+ families through hospital births since 2019.
To help women in Central Connecticut feel safe, supported, and confident through every stage of the birthing process. We believe that every birthing person deserves trauma-informed care, trusted guidance, and unwavering presence from someone who truly understands.
A birth experience where women feel calm, educated, and empowered no matter their past birthing experiences. We envision a world where every woman walks away from her birth feeling proud, peaceful, and fully seen.

During her free time, you can find her baking yummy treats. Eating tasty food and sipping tea is a favorite pastime of hers. And she loves to travel and to stamp her passport, but she hates packing for the trip.

Hi, I’m Mischa, a birth doula, tea drinker, passport stamper, and lover of sunny days spent on the beach with my trusty watermelon picnic basket. I’ve been a doula since 2019 through DONA International, and being invited into the sacred space of birth is one of the greatest honors of my life.
I came to birth work through curiosity, compassion, and a lifelong fascination with how we come into this world. While I’m also a therapist, let’s make one thing clear: your therapist should not see your vag, so doula clients you cannot see me as your therapist. My role is to support you emotionally and physically, hold space for your choices, and help you feel calm, confident, and empowered during one of life’s biggest transitions.
When I’m not supporting families, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen baking something sweet, cooking or eating something delicious, or sipping tea while pretending not to have a to-do list. I’m semi crunchy (hello, essential oils and reusable somethings), a Reiki Master, and a firm believer that everyone deserves to feel nurtured and celebrated during birth.
I love to travel but hate packing. I read the most when my brain finally turns off on vacation. My house plants are thriving, but my outdoor garden and I are in a complicated relationship because of the bugs. Spiders are a hard no, Cats sadly allergic, and dogs are a maybe who tend to go bananas around, blame the Birthy energy. And if you ever see me without my water bottle, please assume dehydration.
